How to change DNS records at A2 Hosting
cPanel-based host; DNS is edited in cPanel or the client area.
Where the DNS settings live
- Sign in to the A2 client area and open Domains → My Domains.
- Click Manage → Manage DNS. For hosted sites use cPanel → Zone Editor.
Adding a record
- In cPanel Zone Editor, click Manage next to the domain, then Add Record.
- Set name, type, TTL and record value, then Add Record.
Editing or deleting a record
- Click Edit on the row, change the value, then Save Record.
- Use Delete to remove it.
Changing the nameservers
- From the client area, open the domain and choose Nameservers → Use custom nameservers.
A2 Hosting nameservers
These are the values you would set at your registrar to let A2 Hosting run your DNS. Always confirm them in your own account — several providers assign per-account values.

Gotchas at A2 Hosting
- cPanel Zone Editor only affects the zone if the domain uses A2 nameservers.
After you save
DNS changes are not instant. Resolvers keep the old answer until the previous record's TTL expires, so a record with a 4-hour TTL can take 4 hours to change everywhere — occasionally longer if an ISP ignores TTLs. Check what the world currently sees before assuming something is broken, and see the troubleshooting page if it still looks wrong after the TTL has passed.
