How to change DNS records at Dynadot

Where the DNS settings live

1. Sign in and open My Domains → Manage Domains.
2. Tick the domain and click DNS, or click the domain and choose DNS Settings.

Adding a record

1. Set the DNS type to Dynadot DNS.
2. Use the Domain Record rows for the root and Subdomain Records for anything else.
3. Choose the record type, enter the value, and click Save DNS.

Editing or deleting a record

1. Change the value in the row and click Save DNS. Clear a row to delete it.

Changing the nameservers

1. On DNS Settings choose Name Servers instead of Dynadot DNS, enter them, and save.

These are the values you would set at your registrar to let Dynadot run your DNS. Always confirm them in your own account — several providers assign per-account values.

After you save

DNS changes are not instant. Resolvers keep the old answer until the previous record's TTL expires, so a record with a 4-hour TTL can take 4 hours to change everywhere — occasionally longer if an ISP ignores TTLs. Check what the world currently sees before assuming something is broken, and see the troubleshooting page if it still looks wrong after the TTL has passed.
