How to change DNS records at Krystal
UK host running cPanel, with its own client area for domains.
Where the DNS settings live
- Sign in to the Krystal client area.
- Open Domains, click the domain, then Manage DNS. For hosted domains, cPanel → Zone Editor also works.
Adding a record
- Click Add Record, set the type, name and value, then save.
Editing or deleting a record
- Edit on the row to change, Delete to remove.
Changing the nameservers
- Open the domain in the client area and edit Nameservers.
Krystal nameservers
These are the values you would set at your registrar to let Krystal run your DNS. Always confirm them in your own account — several providers assign per-account values.
ns1.krystal.ukns2.krystal.uk
Gotchas at Krystal
- Krystal domains use their own DNS by default; check whether the site is on cPanel DNS or Krystal DNS before editing.
After you save
DNS changes are not instant. Resolvers keep the old answer until the previous record's TTL expires, so a record with a 4-hour TTL can take 4 hours to change everywhere — occasionally longer if an ISP ignores TTLs. Check what the world currently sees before assuming something is broken, and see the troubleshooting page if it still looks wrong after the TTL has passed.
